Started Playing: Think I was 7 or 8, again at 30ish and again at 49 (blame it on the kids!!!)
Previous Bands: South Derbyshire Minors (now Gresley ); Barlestone Victoria; Rank Taylor Hobson; Unity Brass; Ibstock Building Products; Enderby; Ratby Mid Band
Best Banding Memory: There are so many of them but section practise with Smokey, Jim and Phil takes a lot of beating, (Larry, Curly and MO) lol
Most Embarassing Banding Moment: Hmmm, there may have been one or two over the years and no doubt there'll be some more to add to list!!!!!
Banding Ambition: To just keep enjoying playing for as long as I can and encourage my kids to do the same
Favourite Piece: My newest most favourite piece is Windows of the World, I was mesmorised when I first heard it played
Least Favourite Piece: Black and White Minstrels, Congratulations, and anything similar

Best Banding Memory: Playing in the 4th section nationals at the Royal Albert Hall
Most Embarassing Banding Moment: There's been too many!!!
Banding Ambition: To play 2nd baritone for ever
Favourite Piece: The middle piece on a chocolate fudge cake
Least Favourite Piece: The crusty end piece
SOLO EUPHONIUM
Name: Jim McEntee
Started Playing: 1970 Aged 7
Previous Bands: Foresters, Ratby, City of Leicester, Ibstock Building Products, Croft Silver, Enderby
Best Banding Memory: Playing at the National Finals at the Royal Albert Hall with Unity and winning the Grand Shield with Ratby at Belle Vue. Also 2 trips to Barbados with Unity
Most Embarassing Banding Moment: Arriving at a gig with Unity without my euphonium (I drove off and left it in the bandroom carpark. Nightmare!!!!
Banding Ambition: To do more practice, but then again, why change the habit of a lifetime
Favourite Piece: Connotations, Tam o' Shanters Ride, Benvenuto Cellini, Blitz, Essence of Time
Least Favourite Piece: Pomp & Circumstance, The Gael and ALL selections - What a load of cak!
2ND EUPHONIUM
Name: Chris Banks
Started Playing: 1976 aged 8 on doctors advice!!
Previous Bands: Earby, Blackburn & Darwen, Besses O' Th' Barn, PCA Skipton, Nelson, Wantage Silver Band, Croft Silver Band, The Amington Band. Also M.D. at Nelson Band and Ripon City Band
Best Banding Memory: Winning The Grand Shield with Blackburn & Darwen in 1987 beating kennedys swinton by 3 clear points
Most Embarassing Banding Moment: Best not go there!!!
Banding Ambition: To enjoy each moment as it comes and play at my best for as long as i can and to keep contesting!!
Favourite Piece: Le Roi D'ys, Contest Music, anything by Eric Ball and whatever test piece were working on at the time.
Least Favourite Piece: Hooteneny, Instant Concert and the like.... MUSICAL GARBAGE!!!!!
